Learn about the cranes used, designing a building structure, the structural systems & how building load is analyzed and factored into the design. Receive an in-depth study of cast-in-place & precast concrete and structural steel.

The Building Structure

In this series of Construction Project Management Fundamentals courses, you will learn how a building is put together -- from the ground up.

In this, our second of six courses, you will learn about the structural systems in a building, a building load, how is a load analyzed, how structural materials react to a load, how structural systems bend or deflect, the types of cranes used to construct a building.

You will also learn valuable information about cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, steel, how steel systems benefit the building's structural integrity.

In all of these Construction Project Management Fundamentals courses, you will learn about the sequence of construction and the relationships between all the different construction activities on site.

You will learn how a building is put together and how people work together to successfully complete a construction project.
